Hello. I’m Sarah- I’m a bread baker, pastry chef, private chef, and teacher based out of Atlanta, GA. I believe there is magic in good bread and pastry; magic in good ingredients, and in doing things the old school way with less preservatives and less commercial yeast. I hold the value of community and the power of good whole food in shaping healthy bodies, minds, and lives as central to why I do what I do.

Previously, I’ve worked for and learned under some of Atlanta’s best bakeries and chefs including Holeman & Finch Bread and Little Tart Bakeshop, while also experimenting with my own ideas at Octopus Bar, Preserving Place, and numerous popups and collaborations all over the country. I’ve consulted with and helped build out kitchens and pastry and breakfast menus for 8Arm Cafe and most recently, PERC Cafe in East Lake.

My umbrella company, Bread is Good LLC, currently maintains a weekly bread subscription service, a menu of wholesale offerings to markets and restaurants in Atl, as well as retail pastry and bread pickup days out of a very wonderful commercial kitchen space in Inman Park at 337 Elizabeth Street NE.
